I've been having trouble getting certain recordings to play on my Samsung tablet. I tried a couple of times and the picture never shows. The program is not hung and I can restart playback with the same results. Not sure why.

But...apparently as a consequence of trying to play back, I discovered over 10GB of .ts files in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\web\temp folder! Each file, of the form 2018MTVVideoMusicAwards-00fc2f01ef374805b2ad3329994b82582.ts was about 640KB in size. Over 18,000 of them!

It seems that this is the output from ffmpeg doing the transcoding. Is there something that can be done to shut down transcoding or maybe deleting these temporary files in the event the client connection is broken?

Can I supply more info?
Later...JohnC

It is supposed to auto delete these files when it no longer needs them. I just did a quick check now and that still seems to be working for me. If you delete the files, and do a quick watch of live tv, then stop, do the files get deleted, or left behind?

If your device is able to natively play the codecs used by your broadcaster, you can also enable direct play in the app, so that these files aren't created in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\web\temp
