Long time to load Scan region selection box

When selecting scan region during the initial setup the drop down box is just blank - then after 12 seconds or so it loads in.
Is there anyway to improve the performance of this?

For reference I'm running nextpvr on a hp n54l microserver (an old dual core cpu).

It is a little slow with DVB-T because there is so many options. On my machine it takes about 5 seconds to load. It has to do a lot of work, by reading about 2000 text files, looking for the country/transmitter names.

It caches it after first use, so you'll notice it's nearly instant next time around.

At the end of the day, people don't scan that often, so I'm not that worried about this.
