I just double checked and you're right. I've fixed this for the next build.

Thanks Sub,

did the logs give any clue as to why most of my channel icons that do have a tvg-id entry end up as 0kb files in v5?

The log didn't tell me definitively why, but I have a theory it related to the type of network call I was using, being overloaded with two many simultaneous download attempts and maybe some were failing because of this. I've changed this logic for the next v5 build and hopefully it'll help.

i was able to get v4 working with two providers in the same m3u, so sharing in case it will help anyone else....

it took some head scratching as if i separated the two providers to separate m3u, each would work if imported as the only m3u, and load in kodi, albeit with some group/logo issues, but when combined to a single m3u, or uploaded as a first then second import on the same device, kodi just did not like it.

I did a few things to get there, the main issue i think was the format of my m3u. Some channels did not have tvg-id entry, and some of these also didn't have tvg-name entry (just group-title="group name" a comma and the channel title, nothing more)

The issue appears to have further been exasperated by some special characters in some channels titles, as i found unexpected groups that were not in the m3u created by NPVR, and the groups were named as the fist word after the special character in the channel title.

I fixed up the m3u, to ensure all channels had a tvg-id and tvg-name tag including a value, this fixed some groups failing to import and channel logos for the channels that should have been in those groups not being downloaded. i then removed all special characters from the m3u (except + for all the +1 channels), to fix the creation of groups that were not in the m3u.

fixing the m3u alone was not enough however, as even after deleting my device and re-importing the 'fixed' m3u successfully with expected groups etc, Kodi still gave the below error on all channels and groups on start up when loading channels

ERROR: cb_transfer_channel_group_member: Cannot find group....

The last step to get it working in kodi was to stop the NPVR service, delete the npvr.db3, and copy / rename the empty.db3 file to npvr.db3, restart the service and import the 'fixed' m3u in to a clean DB.

after that all is working as expected in kodi and all channels / groups load successfully with nothing missing and no unintended groups

Thanks
