Hi All,
i am having issue with VOD not showing after setting up a new device and importing from m3u.
when import i see all the VOD channels, and they are in the correct group, however, when i save, the VOD channels do not show in the 'channels' list and do not get sent to Kodi. i can see them if i expand the device and they are all present but in channel list they are missing, the channels that do show have correct number both before and after the VOD channels, so in the channel list where the VOD channels should be, the numbering just jumps by 150 (the number of VOD channels currently i have). it is as though nextpvr is filtering them out from the channel list.
i did see some lines in the logs about filtering VOD, so i tried changing <SendVOD>false<SendVOD> to <SendVOD>true<SendVOD> in config.xml, restarting and re-importing to a fresh DB. i no longer saw the lines in the log about filtering VOD, but ultimatly still no change with VOD still showing under 'device', but missing under 'channels'.
The stream urls for the VOD channels all end in .mkv.
If i set all my stream urls in the m3u file to be behind redirect urls in m3u editor, so there is no reference to .mkv in the url anymore, all channels including VOD import correctly when setting up a new device, unfortunately using redirect urls has adverse effect to playback as nextpvr no longer streams as-is and trans-codes, and my box cant handle the extra cpu hit so playback constantly stalls and freezes on all HD content (most of may channels are 720 or 1080). If i turn off redirect url in m3u editor and update m3u in nextpvr, the stream urls are updated to show actual, but the VOD channels disappear from the channel list again (but still remain under 'device')
Is there a setting somewhere i need to change to get the VOD to show in channel list and be passed to Kodi?
it is odd as i had this working in the last release 5.04, and was still working when i updated image to 5.05, but for some reason i simply cannot set up a new device and get it to work anymore. i even tried going back to image 5.04 and setting up the new device to confirm if this is something introduced by 5.05 but it would appear not, as i get same result. The only change from when it did set up the new device and include the VOD channels in the channel list correctly, is my number of VOD channels has increased from around 70 to around 150. if i drop my old DB back in that has 70 VOD channels it works again and the channels show in the channel list and are passed to Kodi. i even compared the two DBs, working and non working cross referencing 'channel' 'channel_mapping' 'channel_group' and a few other tables, column by column on some sample VOD and also working channels and cannot see any difference, other than an increased VOD channel count on the non working DB.
note i tried repeating all this using windows version also, and got the same behavior.
Thanks!
