There is a new show starting in the UK next week called Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow.
First episode is airing Saturday the 30th.

On NextPVR under the IPTV listings, it is showing S01E04... but I'm looking at the SD XML and cannot see how NextPVR is obtaining this.

The OTA Guide that i grab with EPG Collector also shows S01E04, as I think this was originally due to air earlier, but changed due to lockdown.
This is from the OTA XML
Code:
[color=#333333][size=small][font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]  [/font][/size][/color]<programme start="20200530201500 +0100" stop="20200530211500 +0100" channel="8261">
    <title>New: Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow</title>
    <sub-title>Play Your Cards Right</sub-title>
    <desc>Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Chris Ramsey, Ore Oduba, Martine McCutcheon and their various partners take on the deck of cards in Play Your Cards Right. [S,AD] S1 Ep4</desc>
    <category>Show</category>
    <audio>
      <stereo>stereo</stereo>
    </audio>
  </programme>

That is fine, as it shows it in the description and is an error that needs to be updated at the station

But on the IPTV Listing grabbed by EPG123 from Schedules Direct, it shows this
Code:
[color=#333333][size=small][font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]  [/font][/size][/color]<programme start="20200530191500 +0000" stop="20200530201500 +0000" channel="EPG123.21826.schedulesdirect.org">
    <title>Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow</title>
    <sub-title>Play Your Cards Right</sub-title>
    <desc>Playing for charity, morning television stalwarts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, comedian Chris Ramsey and his wife Rosie, presenter Ore Oduba and his wife Portia, and singer and actor Martine McCutcheon and her husband Jack McManus all take on the deck of cards, and go "higher or lower" for the chance to win the £30,000 jackpot on the turn of a single card.</desc>

I can't see anywhere in there which states S01E04, yet NextPVR shows this

Is it something to do with the dd_progid or xmltv_ns, where it is getting the episode number from?

I'm going to send an update to SD (and ITV), but it just puzzled me where NPVR was getting the details from when I couldn't see it in the XML

Yep ... It appears that xmltv_ns is being handled correctly ... It says ...

Quote:<episode-num system="xmltv_ns">Season{/Number of season in total} . Episode{/Number of Episodes in this season} . {Part number/Number of parts in this episode}</episode-num>

at ... https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.p...ic=92093.0

The first season and the first episode of a show is often numbered as "0" (i.e. zero).

Aah brilliant... I assumed it must be one of those as I couldn't see any other way NPVR could be working out the S/E numbers.
Thank you for the link with the explanation :-)
