Can i adjust the recording profile?

I would like to use the veryfast preset of the X264 encoder.

Yes but it is not trivial and is considered an expert unsupported feature.

In the log you can see the command line option template followed by the actual command line NextPVR use. Find this template line (ffmpeg -y something) and replace default in config.xml <TranscodeHLS>default</TranscodeHLS> with your modified template, starting with the -y

Thank you for the quick response.

I change the setting <TranscodeHLS> and found that it apply to transcoding on the fly.

The ffmpeg setting I would like to change is the one used for 'Recording Auto Transcode'

Could It be the <TranscodeArgs> that I have to modify?

Not sure why you'd opt to have lower quality transcoding on your recordings when time is not that prime factor but sub would need to answer your question.

I am setting up a low cost PVR system for my sister.
I am using a raspberrypi4b, my setup is working fine, I presently use handbrake in postprocessing, but it is not ideal since not fully integrated with NextPVR.  The transcode option of NextPvr take about 2x the time of the recording to transcode on the PI but with the setting veryfast it would be 30% less time for the same quality and about the same file size.
