Hi,
Using NextPVR Version: 5.1.0.201216 on unRAID Docker found in the CA list.
I've been uncomfortable with running this Docker using host interface and would rather run as a bridge. I'm unable, however, to get NPVR to accept the stream from HDHomerun tuner using bridge interface.
It seems to stem from port 80, as the docker fails to install if 80 is mapped in/out of the container; the port is in use elsewhere. If I leave that out of the mapping, the container installs fine, and I'm able to get an updated tv schedule and communicate through p:8866 (mapped). Any attempt to view live tv or record a show results of "Streaming Failed - transcoder exited" or empty file in target recording directory. The target file i.e. Matlock.S01E01.Pilot.tx is created, but remains at 0kb. Behavior when container is set to use host interface shows this file growing as expected during recording.
So my question is: is there an alternate port I can use instead of p:80 (and p:443, for that matter; it's not a conflict now, but I imagine it will be at some point) in the application, or is that a necessity of comms with HDHomerun?
From the few unRAID users I've seen here in the forum, they appear to be running in bridge without mapping ports 80, 443. Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks in advance. I've been using NextPVR on my WHS2011 server for ages now, and have only recently migrated to unRAID. Some of the fundamentals are lacking in my understanding, I'm sure...
Erik
