I'm wondering if anyone familiar with ffmpeg can help with a solution to this.
I have a few web radio stations configured in NextPVR as IPTV channels. Works well.
I would like to do something a little fancy. In my idea, I would have a small video file on my local drive, say about a 30 second animation something like a screensaver, and merge that with the incoming web audio stream, creating an AV stream comprised of the local video file looping and the incoming web audio.
I think that above step should be possible with ffmpeg, but then the question is how to get NextPVR to call it and start the process off. I think I can have ffmpeg setup as a server, but I gather its options are rather basic and it'd probably want to be streaming the audio in 24/7 and not on demand.
Is there a better solution to this?
This is just a little coding challenge or hobby project. Not mission critical!

"It's better than a box!"
