How did i hijack it? 

This started happening immediately after version upgrade? 
Server Application started crashing, I figured I wont open another topic since this one already covers new version issue.

Also logs are attached now

This thread is about the NextPVR.exe Windows client not working on RDP. Your post is about the server not starting. Using your approach all posts for problems on a version would be in one thread.

It is not hard to open a new topic and it might help others with the same problem. Now the RDP issue is kind of lost.

For your error (unrelated to the original one), it looks like the NextPVR server is being denied network access. It is most likely antivirus / firewall software blocking NextPVR from being able to listen on the network for requests.

Believe it or not, it was Amazon Workspaces client that was causing issues. Even when it was stopped/not running. It also was not using this port (verified with netstat -ano). 
Restarted service and all is well now. Very odd
