Hi Everyone!

I'm looking for anyone who tryed to get the Sound Blaster Remote control to work on GBPVR for channel changing, etc....

Anyone had any luck, or has any documentation?

I've searched all Creatives Labs Web looking for anything that might help, but no luck.

Cheers,
Eric

If it has a way to edit the buttons to equal keys, you can use this to map them:
http://www.bladerhq.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...dReference

The file may be an ini for cfg file of soem kind you can manually edit.

You can use the Audigy remote control to control GBPVR. Follow these steps:

1. Add GBPVR to Windows Application Support in Media Source.
Run Creative Media Source, and go to Tools Menu Settings. Go to remote control tab and click Windows Application Support. Click Add and browse to GBPVR.exe in devnz. Set the application name to GBPVR.

2. Create a GBPVR.KEY file in C:\Program Files\Creative\MediaSource\RemoteControl\KeyMap. folder
I just copied Default.KEY and renamed it to GBPVR.KEY. NB: Your file name (without .KEY suffix) must equal the application name you set in Media Source.

3. Edit GBPVR.KEY to make the OK remote button trigger an enter key stroke.

Scroll down and replace :
[KeyEvent6954]
KeyName=Select/Enter
Notification=2
KeyEventRemap=1

with :

[KeyEvent6954]
KeyName=Select/Enter
Notification=-1
KeyEventRemap=13

You can now start GBPVR, and control using the Audigy Remote. Use number keys or navigate menus using the up, down, left, right, and OK keys.

To simulate pressing the Ctrl key you must add 131072 to the key code value, for example Ctrl-Y = 131161 and Ctrl-[left arrow] = 131109, and use this as the KeyEventRemap value.

I will complete a full GBPVR.KEY and post here when I'm done, along with notes on what remote control keys do what.

I have a RM-1000, so I'm not sure if this is the same for other Audigy remotes.
