Hi everyone,
I'm trying different PVR apps to see which one I like best. I installed NextPVR yesterday on Linux Mint 20, and my TV tuner is a Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD. My problem is that I've updated the OTA EPG several times, and it still does not have any listings. I've tried rebooting, and increasing the seconds per frequency, first to 120, then 180, then 300. I also looked at the logs, and I didn't see anything remarkable, but then I also don't really know what to look for. I don't think my tuner is the problem, because all the other TV software I've used does the job in about 5-10 minutes for all the frequencies, and I get actual listings when it's finished. The other ones I've used are MythTV, Kaffeine, and the official Hauppauge WinTV app (the WinTV app is Windows 10 only). I know I can just pay a few dollars to get listings from Schedules Direct, but I don't want to waste money doing that, when the over-the-air listings are sufficient for my needs, if only they would work. I know I could also go back to using one of the other apps I named, but I want to give NextPVR a fair shot too, and I believe that this issue is fixable, but I'm just missing something. I will greatly appreciate any help you all can give me.
