Point to Synology

I am running Nextdvr on a Windows 11 machine. I also have a Synology 218+ and watch through Apple TVs. How do I save my recording to the Synology rather than my windows machine? I have no clue on how to run docker but am willing to try if someone can please point me to a step-by-step tutorial specific to installing Nextdvr on my NAS.

Where are your TV channels coming from? ie, a tuner, or IPTV?

The easiest why to use shared drives is to change the NextPVR service to use your users profile rather than a system account.

What is your tuner and EPG source? That is a big factor on going to Docker.

A forum search might help, here is one good thread. https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61027 If that seems overwhelming stick with Windows.

I use it for IPTV. I use channels for my HD Homerun. I have xtreme login and the iptv service provides the epg.

With channels from those sources you could try setting it up on docker, like it is shown in the link Martin posted above https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61027
