I have a couple problems

I have ripped all of my DVDs to my PVR then imported them into NextPVR. The program I used to rip the DVDs preserves the chapters from the DVD.

The chapters work just fine in the NextPVR app, however when trying too watch from a web browser, the chapters appear to be there but the video continues playing from as if the skip forward wasn't pressed.

Also in the Android App recorded programs will play just fine, however the videos from my DVDs will not. Both recorded and videos from DVDs both play in a web browser and in NextPVR just fine.

Any body have any suggestions?

Clearly the web app is not designed as a media player, as it has limited keyboard and no remote interaction. It is also transcoding on the fly so unless you converted it to web friendly mp4 format skipping will also be calculated on the fly.

Did you import the recordings or do you play them from the video library? I don't think any client know how to play recordings with chapter marks.

They are in MP4 format, they are also web optimized.

Did you import the recordings or do you play them from the video library?  I don't think any client know how to play recordings with chapter marks.

I am not sure what the difference is between the recordings and video library are. I created XML files and imported them and am able to play them from within NextPVR. The trouble is attempting to play them from with in the NextPVR web app and Android Client.

However if no web browser is able to recognize chapters then that is the explanation.

However none of that explains why the DVD files will not play in the Android App. Recordings from TV play just fine, the "recordings" from DVDs do not.

If they are web optimized h264/aac and faststart mp4, then the browser would play them, you likely did something wrong on the import.

If sub's Android app doesn't play them maybe try uidroid on Android. You won't get chapter jumping (I don't even know the recording key for that) but it doesn't usually matter about the format.
