No guide images using reverse https proxy

If you turn off Unauthenticated Access in the server does that help? You would need to move security outside NextPVR.

I did try turning off that feature but didn't seem to do anything.

Would it be possible to make it a non user facing config like the HTTPS protocol?

You would need to try with remote off and unauthenticated on.

Hidden settings or new settings are too much work for this. Scrolling speeds are generally too fast to show art that isn't in the cache. This is even more true in the EPG where NextPVR will often be taking several seconds just to cache the art locally before even going to Kodi.

I will try with those setttings however once Kodi has cached the image it will stay cached I assume, so after a little while the majority of repeat shows will have cached images to show in the guide.

Your assumption is wrong when sids are involved, only the NextPVR cache is valid. The sid token is part of the URL so the cache is only valid for the current session. All the stale images will be cached against old tokens. Each session will load and cache new "duplicate" images.

Since you asked to get fanart as episode images if you skip over just 10 "repeats" over 10 days you will have 100 cached images perhaps taking 40MB of storage. In the guide you will probably will often place the cursor on over 10 shows repeat or not. Holding the right cursor for 3 days you might get 75 images or more, holding the down arrow to see what's on that is one per channel. This is all whether you see them or not.

I see, so Kodi must hash the whole URL as part of the image cache check rather than pre query string modifier, I suppose that makes sense. I'll see if I can use the unauthenticated access if not see if @sub would consider making art URL requests not require authentication.

Edit, realised the specific image is within the query string anyway. I understand now that the hash would constantly change with each new Sid request.

@sub the 'Unauthenticated Access' doesn't appear to work for art requests, is it possible to have a separate option to allow unauthenticated access for art, I would rather not have the option enabled for streaming anyway.

I'm also going to try altering my nginx proxy to mask the external URI request.

Certainly the best thing to do is to make the proxy appear as internal LAN.
