Hello,
Does NextPVR come with a default playlist? If so, how do I get to it and what is its path? If not, what is the recommended path (with path format)?
I have NextPVR installed on an Asustor NAS. I need to import a playlist. Strangely, NextPVR claims the absolute path doesn't exist, although I can see it with ssh and my other apps can get to it.
NextPVR is installed under Docker but the playlist is outside Docker. My idea is simply to copy and paste over the default playlist if it exists. I guess I still have to provide its path.

How could there be a default playlist?

If it is outside Docker you need to access with a defined path. The default locations are /config /recordings and /buffer If it is outside those you have to add another mapping. Don't use the host's path.

Also although it says URL you do want a true path and not file://

Thanks, I will try that. I'm not familiar with NextPVR. An app I'm using (it has other issues) has a default playlist which I simply overwrote with mine. But then, it's a Plex plug-in simply called IPTV.

Following ssh and FTP, I entered "/volume1/Docker/NextPVR/config/playlist.m3u" but that and similar combinations (using my IP) failed. See screenshot. [Image: 0rygKrX]
Interestingly, when I used my IP, I got the error "Failed to download the channel list: Could not find a part of the path '/app/xxx.xxx.xxx.xx/volume1/Docker/NextPVR/config/playlist.m3u'". See screenshot.

I have no idea where "/app/" came from. I can't see it on my server. Entering "/app/volume1/Docker/NextPVR/config/playlist.m3u" also fails.
It should be noted that VLC fails to play the links in the playlist regardless of the format (ts, mp4, rtsp) but Pot Player plays everything. It should also be noted Martin advised "Don't use the host's path". But I have no idea what path to use.

Because it couldn't find /volume NextPVR it assumes it is part of the default folder which is /app on Docker.

If you need to use /volume you need to map it you like did the /buffer and ./config so something like

--volume /volume:/volume

However based on your example to the full host path I think you can just enter /config/playlist.m3u instead.

Thank you. I will try that.
I entered "config/playlist.m3u" but I did not put "/" at the start.

That served a treat. Thanks again.
