NextPVR can't update EPG while recording a program

I recently installed the latest NextPVR on my Windows10 machine.  I noticed I can not update the EPG if a program is being recorded.  It fails, but works fine when nothing is being recorded.

I had the same problem in old V19 NextPVR, but was able to get around it with the initial install by scanning the 4th HDhomerun tuner first for channels and then copying the channels into tuners 1-3.  This assigned the backend to 4th tuner for EPG.  Apparently the backend isn't smart enough to pick a free tuner.  

On the latest NextPVR scanning the 4th tuner first for channels does not assign the backend to the 4th tuner for EPG scanning.  When you are recording on 1st tuner and try to update the EPG it fails because it isn't smart enough to look for a free tuner.

Right NextPVR always uses tuner 1 (probably marked -0 on the HDHR list) for the EPG. While the recommendation is to schedule the OTA update during recordings but I realize with the crappy ATSC data this is not always possible.

One user offered a good work around that works well with quad tuners. In the Device Settings hold the ctrl key and move the priority of tuner 1 lower. The arrangement below will allow 2 recordings and 1 Live TV channel when the EPG is happening.

I went to the Devices page and was able to reverse the order of tuners using the arrow keys (on the right) to:
Tuner 3
Tuner 2
Tuner 1
Tuner 0
I started recording and status showed that Tuner 3 was indeed being used to record. Hopefully, the EPG update remains on Tuner 0 and works while recording.

Using that order the EPG update will corrupt Live TV since by default it works bottom up.

I just verified that reversing the channel order does fix my problem. If I am recording on Tuner 3, EPG update runs on Tuner 0 successfully.
I'll keep in mind that it may goof up Live TV. Thanks for that tip. I rarely use live mode, so probably not an issue for me.
