Hi there,

I'm having a problem watching live TV from my nova-t usb2 device on an mvp. When i select 'live tv' the first channel i select appears without any problems, and i can change channel by using the up and down buttons. However, if i type in a channel number, or press the go button, or in fact do anything to get the transparent OSD to display, the recording service on the PC crashes with a faulting mpgmux.ax (i'm using the cyberlink mux). The service also crashes immediately if i try to go into a live channel from the tv guide, because again the transparent overlay is displayed.

My questions are these : is there a fix for this problem, or if not, is there a way of disabling the transparent OSD display for the MVP altogether?

Many thanks in advance

I cant see any relationship between the OSD and mpgmux.ax, so I find this unlikely. The closest you can get to hiding the OSD is setting it show minimal OSD in the config app.

The biggest problem with using DVB devices for live TV with the MVP, is how long the mux filter takes before it starts producing data after a channel change. This is usually around 5 seconds, which can *sometimes* be longer than the MVP is prepared to wait.
