When I click on pause, got message "switching to timeshift" mode but the tv screen never returns to normal & GPPVR stops to respond. Recording did start and continued, as I can see the file created & grows in size until I end GBPVR using Windows task manager.

One small installation glitch (may not be related) is that I install under one user account, try to run it under another account, failed, install it again using the 2nd account. I'm not sure how to wipe out an existing installation & start from scratch.

Any help to get my system going will be much appreciated.

System:
Windows XP SP1
.Net Framework 1.1 (tried with & w/o SP1)
Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE
P4 2.8E w/ 512MB Ram
GBPRV version 9211

BTW, I had GBPRV working before on Windows 2000 Server, same hardware as current setup. Sad

Can at least some one show me how to completely remove current installation so I can do a fresh install?

Just uninstall, then delete the "c:\program files\devnz" directory, then reinstall.

Its likely to be exactly the same afterwards though. Its most likely caused by the MPEG2 decoder on your machine or lack there of.

How can you tell if you have an MPEG2 decoder? GBPVR is also staying on the "Switching to timeshift mode" when I try to pause LiveTV. I have several options under Video Decoder but none of them fix the problem. I'm having several other problems though, so I'm not really sure it's with the decoder. The other problem deals with not being able to get GBPVR to control my Hauppauge IR blaster (PVR 150, non-MCE version - I have no idea what to do about setting up the .exe plugin).

if you have some video decoder options other than system default listed, then you have an MPEG2 decoder.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

The first thing you need to do is get the IR Blaster working with the Hauppauge BlastCfg software. Once that is working, then set your capture source to use the '.exe channel changer' and point it at "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\HaupBlast.exe" and you should be good to go.
