Does anyone knows how to remove GBPVR and mediaMVP DLLs completly from the computer?

After I upgraded to the last release I have been experiencing way to many disconnect with the MediaMVP, I can't even watch 5 minutes of the movie.

After I clean the computer, I am planing to reinstall GBPVR.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Everything is in the GB-PVR directory, so to remove it completely just uninstall, then delete the "c:\program files\devnz" directory.

Sub, Or anyone else who seen this before,

I have removed the directory of GBPVR after uninstalling the program.

I also removed the Hauppauge MVP software.

This for some reason still did not make a change with the MVP disconnecting.
Everything was working great before the upgrade so I know it that and not something in the network.

How do you recomment installing GBPVR and MVP drivers?
Here is what I have been doing:
Installing mediaMVP 2.4 from Hauppauge. Then go to service manager and stopping the two services associated with the MVP. MVPstart.exe(MVPmedia service) and dglsvcmain.exe (MVPmediasvc).

The MediaMVP has hard time connecting, and it drops connection as soon as I click the movie (Maybe 2 minutes after).

What should I do?

Thanks for the much appreciated help!

I think you need to pull the Power Plug on the MVP, then install the s/w, then reolug it back in, otherwise the dongle.bin doesn't get pushed to the MVP i.e. the one that was there, is still there, despite the downgrade

Have a dekko at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FAQ/MVP#toc2 It is a summary of some folks who much more knowledgeable than I, in the forums, which I recently stuffed into the wiki. If you don't understand it fully, it's because of me, not them :-)

jksmurf,
Thanks for pointing me to the wonderfull wiki site. What a great documentation of the MVP!

I did unplug the MVP just so the dongle can be downloaded to it. Every time I unpluged it was after the install of GBPVR and disabling the Hauppauge services. I am thinking to stop GBPVR from loading at startup and turn the Hauppauge services on and then unplug/replug the mvp. I am not sure how the download of the dongle.bin get handled in the MVP but I will try.

Thanks
