I purchased a WinTV PCR-150 to drop in my PC so I could enjoy some low cost pvr action till I can build my seperate PC.

I have my TV hooked up to the video out on my ATI-9500 Pro. My desktop displays fine, no problem. Bur when I attempt to play video through WinAMP or Media Player, everything is fine on my monitor, but where the video should be on TV, there is just a blank space. To be more specific, everything dsiplays on TV except for the actual video. I see the desktop, the controls, etc. but in the space where the video should be playing, its just blank.

Help?

try using overlay mode. try tweaking your tv-out, maybe you have some macrovision-problem... i had this problem with my notebook, it could be solved by passing the picture just to the tv, i mean, having a black monitor.

check the configuration. if you need help, post a screenshot of the config-dialog of your graphic-card.

Dottore, have a link to some free screenshot software?

Like I say, the TV will display anything my monitor will, however whereever video is on the computer monitor, the TV just has a blank spot.

I had this problem sometime ago and unfortunately I cant remmember how to solve it. I do remember that it has something to do with the video being overlay. Somewhere you should have an option to output video overlay or not.
Have a play around with the settings try making changing which is the primary display and whether they are clone displays or whatever the other option is.
Sorry I cant remember the way to fix it but I know it is possible and that it has something to do with the overlay settings.
