Hi there.

Today i´m pretty happy with my pvr150 but the analog broadcast is going to
shutdown and only Digital TV will be available (I live in Sweden).

How is the quality with WinTV-NOVA-T pci compared to the good old pvr150?
Is there maybe another (cheap) solution than Nova T?

Depending on the what bit rate the channel is broadcast in it can be as good as dvd or can be very pixellated. In the UK you can notice it as some channels broadcast in 2mbps or less for picture where as others 6mbps. Generally though you don't have to worry about ghosting, snow or other analogue problems, but you do have to worry about picture break up and recieving a strong/good enough signal but it could be different in Sweden.
I wouldn't let it stop you as I have 3 dvb-t cards one of them is a nova and 2 analogue cards and I believe the difference in quality is not anything to worry about. check http://www.tv-cards.com/messageboard/vie...l+analogue for a cap of a dvb-t capture and a pvr250 capture.

Just remember that you'll only be able to get the Free to Air channels (svt1, svt2, barnkanalen, svt24 and tv4) on that card. If you have a separate box (from Boxer), you can connect that one to your pvr150 (via scart) and get all the channels you want. You'd have to get a separate channel changer if the one from the pvr-150 doesn't support your box, though. I have tried to ask hauppauge if there are any swedish boxes that are supported by the 150's channel changer (I'm in the same situation you are), but I have yet to receive an answer, unfortunately. Maybe I should call them...

Thank you guys for your quick replies.
I don´t know the broadcast bitrates but i´ll have to use a digital card anyway.
I do have a satellit reciver from Nokia with all the channels from Viasat and may use that with my pvr150 and change channel with the ir-blaster that was bundled with the 150. That however seems to be a later projekt, there are som other issues to solve first (finding a client to view live-tv from other pcConfused on my home network, streaming from a mediaserver).
