Aspect Ratio in Web Interface

Is it possible to change the aspect ratio when the player is maximized in the web interface? It auto fills making it quite difficult to watch on a cell phone or with an ultra wide monitor. The source is a Verizon FiOS box. It's happening on all screens that aren't 16:9. I'm also using different browsers, desktop is Firefox and Phone is Kiwi. I've captured 2 examples via the Phone.

+2 If it's an easy fix.
It's really not a huge deal for regular shows but when watching sports with a banner at the bottom with scores etc it cuts them off.

I can duplicate weird things in Chrome in the F12 phone mode. What resolution are you guys using?

For me it's 1080 x 2400

If it helps any the android app full screens with the proper aspect ratio.

Looking at those screenshots, it looks like the correct aspect ratio, but clipped at the bottom? ie, I think it's assuming the player can be full width, and 16:9 will be available, so player height is beyond the visible bit of the page. It looks like it needs to detect this, and reduce the height of the player (and you'll get a smaller picture, with more gaps at the side, but not clipped at the bottom.

I suspect you're correct Sub. Not in full screen mode I can zoom the screen to what you describe with the black bands on the sides. For me at least, that would be the preferred.
