Ok, I set them both to transcode=mobile.

The browser now loads up without error but the screen is black and no audio. Kodi seems to play ok and reports h264HW.

The browser might cache the previous try, it should work if it is valid h264/aac the real point of this second option is for Direct Play everywhere.

Technically the last line is for ATSC 3.0 but it won't impact this test.

I haven't had much luck getting this version to stream the extra channels. The web browser looks like it is playing but there is no video or audio. NextPVR Android app won't play the stream with or without Direct Play checked. Kodi only plays the video (reports h264HW), there is no sound and there is no audio codec is listed.

I can try it with Windows after I get all the python stuff configured.

I wonder did you try a 720p channel? Maybe the browser doesn't like interlaced output.

You can see ffplay http://localhost:8866/live?channel=xx.x to test that the extra is working.

Also instead of aac try mp3 for device . Sub doesn't like it but I think it is often a better choice

After changing aac to mp3 I can play the channel in the web browser and the NextPVR Android app in direct play and normal. Jellyfin also works and reports HW video and audio. Kodi also now has sound.

Sub will still fully transcode it because of mp3 audio but otherwise that sounds better overall for other device.

I thought acc worked before. I wonder why it doesn't work now?

BTW the extra channel is 720p. I changed it before I tried your last version.

It will have something to do with the h/w decoding. It was a big let down form me when I found it didn't work for comskip without a remux.
