Now that we've got support for multiple languages, if anyone is willing to do translations to other languages - I'm happy to host them on the site so they're available for other users.

Its pretty straight forward, take a look at the language.xml.ignore file in the GB-PVR directory. Rename it language.xml and add your translations to the file and you should be away.

I have made a danish translation to get this started (though it looks very strange seeing a danish menu on the tv.. [Image: smile.gif] ). If I remembered to get all the strings into the file other people can use it to make their own translations, can someone check to see if I missed anything?

language.xml.dk

Danish characters makes GBpvr crash (well, it doesn't start..). So I have used substitutes in this file (æ = ae, ø = oe, å = aa, Æ = AE, Ø = OE, Å = AA).

I noticed that you can't translate the task descriptions in the main menu and the selections in the Record screen (translating things like "Record Type:" and "Quality:" works, but the selections like "Record Once" and "High" doesn't).

Also, in the description for the DVD ripper it says "Rip DVDs from your DVD drive to you hard drive" I assume it should be "Rip DVDs from your DVD drive to your hard drive" [Image: smile.gif]

And, I know the plugins doesn't support the translation files yet, but I have included some anyway. It surprises me that the DVD Ripper doesn't work with the translation file (or maybe I have made a mistake somewhere [Image: smile.gif] ).

If you add the following line at the top of your xml file, it should accept those Danish characters:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

Cheers for pointing out the few I missed. I'll take care of those in the next release.

Its a bummer that Musik and Video Bibliotek is a little too long for the buttons. You might want to make them Video and Musik, unless you can think of some other appropriate words or abbreviations.

Ah, clever [Image: smile.gif] it workes now!

I also changed Musik and Video Bibliotek to just Musik and Video, I was thinking about making the buttons lager but I guess this is easiest for most users [Image: smile.gif]

I have uploaded an updated file.

I'll try to create the Dutch translations. Anyone interested in Swiss-German [Image: cool.gif] If so, I could ask my wife...

nkh, I've put this language file on the plugins page at http://www.gbpvr.com/plugins.html

I've also added Gandalf's Swedish translations.
