moved to windows 10 and npvr 4.2.4 and scan not finding channel

So i realized i could use the tv to test the channels and didnt need wintv. After doing so it also did not find the cbs affiliate. However ive made numerous adjustments to the antenna direction and one to it's location. So at this point i cant tell if i now have an antenna issue, station signal issue, or what. There's still the fact of the original issue where the channel was fine and antenna untouched, i upgraded and installed npvr and it was gone. Theres too many changes now so im going to have to start over, probably using the tv itself and see if i can regain this channel and if so then try npvr again and come back if the tv tunes it but npvr doesnt.
