OK, so the short answer is it's now fixed, thanks!
But I might have stumbled on another little bug. The Adds-On>Information screen in Kodi definitely said it was 8.2.2 at the time of this log, and Auto-Update was enabled. I had already toggled this to try and trigger an update, and nothing happened.
Because of your post, I went back in to try again, and when I clicked on the Versions button (Rapier skin, if relevant), and then past the next screen, it prompted me to install "Inputstream FFmpeg Direct". Once this had installed, the issue was fixed.
