I have a box with the Amlogic S928-J and I think the difference with the -K variants are the audio licensing on Android. It is faster than the N2/AFTV Cube 3 but I don't think it is quite as fast as a Shield.
If noticed it doesn't mention Neftlix certified but it does mention that it has root support and the two could be mutually exclusive. Overall at this prices level I would only go for these if you don't want to run Android and want something with CoreELEC. Most CoE power users seem to be looking at the older generation AM6B Plus products with Amlogic S922-J They reason for this is the only player class with support for Dolby Vision FEL 5 support. CE support for the S928-J has only just been released but it doesn't support FEL 5.
If that info doesn't mean anything the Shield is probably still better with the AFTV Cube 3 a close second. For the average NextPVR user in the US the ONN boxes are slower but still quite good. I picked up the new one but it is still in the box.
