McBainUK Wrote:Have just uploaded version 3.0 to the wiki.

Changes include:
* Near complete internal re-write - now just the one, faster, updater exe for all sources.
* Can now view By Cinema or By Film.
* Single updater exe - smaller download.
* Made it easier to add sources (still no fandango I'm afraid - got put to the side because of other changes I wanted to do).
* Updated the UK and Ireland, NZ SkyCity and Zap2It sources due to website changes.
* Added page up/down support on film info pages for sources with long writeups or lots of showing times.

If you are updating from V2.x you must go into the config app and check your cinema ID’s, then click OK to save. This will ensure the updater exe works.

The install seemed to go ok, but when I press refresh from within GBPVR it pops up the internationalcinemalistingsupdater.exe has caused a problem and needs to close.

If I run the internationalcinemalistingsupdater from outside GBPVR it crashes in the same manner.

If I run the USAandCanada-Zap2It.exe it works ok but the files don't look like they are new versions.

I wasn't exactly sure when I needed to go into the config app and check my ids, so I did it before and after I ran the installer.
Any thoughts?

Hmm, delete the cinema IDs and then choose another source. Click ok to save.
Re-enter the config app and then enter your cinema id(s) again.

What is needed is to update the config settings so the updater exe uses the correct source.

Same problem, I still get the error message.

I deleted my ids, selected another source and saved. I exited the config app with ok, I went back in the config, added my source ids back in and selected the usa zap2it selection.

The date on my USAandCanada-Zap2It.exe is 2/25. Is that the right file?

Ah! The installer should have deleted all the exe's in the sub folder as they are no longer needed.

The updater is now InternationalCinemaListingsUpdater.exe in the root plugins directory. One exe for all sources.

That shouldn't be causing the error I wouldn't think.
THe event log contained this error.

McBainUK Wrote:This is a problem with the parsing the source. Its hard to seperate the address form the telephone number. Will have another look before v3 is released this week.

If the Telephone # is always the last token in the string, then you could search backwards from the end of the string for the first space, and make that the end of the address and start of the telephone #.

pastro:Can you check your settings look like this in the config.xml file. The UpdateEXE is the important one
<InternationalCinemaListings>
<CinemaIDs>AAORE</CinemaIDs>
<Country>USA and Canada (Zap2It)</Country>
<UpdateEXE>USAandCanada_Zap2It</UpdateEXE>
</InternationalCinemaListings>

Can also post InternationalCinemaListingsUpdater.exe.log if created.

Wakalaka:Thanks for the heads-up. Will see if that is common across all cinemas - some may have spaces in the tel number.

I tried it using the UK source and it had the same error message.

I also tried to uninstall and nothing really got uninstalled but it thought it was done. I reinstalled after this and everything got skipped since it was already there.

I did not see any log created. I looked in the dir with the exe and the InternationalCinemaListings subdir (where all the old exe's are and the xml files) I also looked in the logs dir under gbpvr.

Relevant part of config.xml looks ok.

The updater is really pretty small compared to the old .exes
It's about 48k. Is this right?
