From telnet what does running the command mount display? I am running out of things to try. PCHServe logs only show up when media plays.

Just for fun could you reboot, run telnet and issue the following command

cp /etc/mvpmc/script_1.cgi /opt/sybhttpd/default

Then from your PC in your browse try this url

http://ip_of_pch:8883/script_1.cgi

I'm curious to see if that starts mvpmcx2

The mount command showed me that Syabas is opening your share rw Maybe there is some issue have the same folder opened ro and rw so maybe trying modfiying ro to rw on the mount line in script.cgi

If this doesn't get it I don't have any other ideas. I'd still like the info I PM'd you about.

It (mostly) works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea! SmileSmileSmile

Would you believe a 'w' for an 'o' was the problem?

Music plays and I can stop it and get back to the UI.

Thanks SOOOOO much, Martin. Perhaps we need to re-work through this to see why only I seem to have had the problem. But you are due some time off, right now!

I still have a problem with losing the UI when I stop an mpg as reported earlier. I will see if sub can help with this as he was this morning.

Email on the way.

Thanks again.

Whew that was the last guess too. The UI doesn't refresh quickly after a video plays, I've told sub about this from the beginning but I just move the right arrow key myself to force it, but it will eventually come back on its own.

Martin.

After video playback stops it seems to take a few seconds before control returns to mvpmcx2, so try waiting 5 - 10 seconds after playback finishes, then press a key. According to your putty.log you didnt press a key after video playback completed - I can only guess you tried pressing it during this period after playback ends but before control returns to mvpmcx2?

BTW, you'll have to join the group of us that have requested AAC LATM audio on the NMT forums. Probably best to leave it a week or so since they've already had a couple of posts about it in the last few days. It already sounds like they hope to add support for it, but another person reminding them time to time can only help its relative priority...

Thanks, guys, I have now discovered that the video does return after a wait. Also, will it be possible to make the loading of GBPVR a little less geeky? Can these rough edges be eliminated or are you too removed from the code?

Yep, will have to put my order in for AAC LATM!
