Could you please include a link to download the new releases from message you post in the forum. The reason I ask is because the server for the forums is a lot faster than the server used by the wiki. It is painfully slow to get anywhere on the wiki server.

Adding this link would make it a lot easier for us.

If we use Schedules Direct, for New Show Detection should we choose "Date Matches Air Date" or "xmltv - sd"?

I think first approach is the best way but don't know what approach you use for the latter.

I notice that if we select Fix Channels, you identify what step it is doing by changing the label on the button. I had noticed this before with other buttons but I didn't know why it happened and thought I had broken the program. I didn't report it because I didn't have the time to reproduce it and report the specific steps I took. It may be confusing to the user because they may not know how the button originally labelled.

I think a better approach would be that when one of the buttons on the Troubleshoot page is activated and you want to output messages describing the current processing, do it like you do on the Main page. The difference for this page would be to also have a title identifying what function (i.e. button) is being performed. Having a beep at the end plus a Done message would also be good.

You take what I auto set it for :-P

SD - gets set for xmltv - SD
mc2xml - gets set for mc2xml

Whurlston and I still aren't satisfied with the new show detection, but you should be getting shows OK for SD

As far as the beep. Every step beeps just like 'done', it's all set to 'beep if done' as in 'done the proceduer'

BTW, I updated yet again as, I discovered anyone trying to use several different sample files, (like me) would have trouble with the Auto Fix Channels...

Firstly, I understand that the TS tab started out as a hack but I think it will turn out eventually to become a very useful part of Ultra.

Now, my problem.

Lately, I have been having trouble getting the enhanced xml into GBPVR if I do things manually. Here is a typical sequence.

5:34 I ran Ultra w/Commit Changes on a fresh copy (copied the before.process file) of xmltv.xml with Medium Logging and Write immediate to file.

5:42 Ultra was done and I looked in GBPVR. The enhancements did not show in the Listings.

5:44 On the TS tab, I selected "GB-PVR Update EPG". It was my understanding from the Hint that this would read the new xml file into the GBPVR listings database. Ultra started running at just about 100% cpu load with no Read or Write I/O in Task Manager and no entries in the Ultra Log. In the past, I have let it do this for maybe twice as long as Ultra normally takes to process the xml file. This was 15 minutes or more, with no end in sight. This time, I killed Ultra in Task Manager after a couple minutes. I looked in GBPVR and the listings were blank.

To clean things up, I rebooted the PC and went into Config and for both capture cards I did an "Empty EPG" and then an "Update EPG". This got my listings back and with the enhancements. It only took Config a couple minutes to do this.

Here is the log from Ultra after all this was done. There are no entries from the "Update EPG" from the TS tab. Yes, I know it is a hack but if you are going to let us civilians use it then adding logging will help find what we did wrong.

I downloaded this version and against my better judgement, I went to the TS tab and requested "GB-PVR Update EPG". It ran to completion in just a minute or two. While it was updating the EPG the counter to the right side of the Info Line stayed at "0 of 0". Was this supposed to update to indicate how many xml records it processed?

Right now I can't say for certain that the function worked correctly because I started with enhanced listings in GBPVR before doing this Update. I can say that it did not get stuck using all the CPU load for an extended time and it didn't make things worse than they were before so that is a definite improvement.:o

I don't have enough time to do proper testing now so I will try again when I have enough time.
