I am glad in a way that there is a problem. I can't tell you how many times I have reloaded this and NPVR thinking I did something wrong. I am pretty good with computers but not an expert and I was starting to doubt myself. I guess that is what this forum is all about, pointing out issues as we see them.

I found the issue but unfortunately I can't provide a quick fix tonight. It's due to Netflix having duplicate IDs for titles (the same reason that the wrong poster may be displayed for a title). I can't fix the updater without making changes to the database that will break the current plugin build since I am currently using that ID as the primary index key (which doesn't allow duplicates in the database). I will post a new build of both the plugin and the updater tomorrow that will resolve the issue.

Whurlston = one quick suggestion - can you edit the very first post and add the latest full version of the plug-in there, along with the current usage instruction??

I started there and then ended up going through all 10 pages of posts to try to get to the latest version with all the patches. At this point the plugin has stopped working so I am sure somewhere I am out of sync.

I think if you kept the first post updated and referred to it when you upload new version life might be easier - great work btw it looked great when I had it working :0)

lol, i thought of suggesting that, but then I decided to just hold out hope that any new release will have so many changes and new features that it will need a whole new thread!

I'll update the first post tomorrow with a rollup of the patches from this thread. The next release will be in a separate thread as there are a lot of changes (as johnsonx42 mentioned).

In the meantime, here is a replacement Neflix.db3 that will fix the update issue. It's a temporary fix until the next release but it will allow the updater to work again.

I updated the database because I had seen some titles on Netflix's web site that didn't show in the plugin, so I figured they were just new. Now having completed the update, they still don't show up. The Discovery Channel series "When We Left Earth" and "Pitchmen" are available to watch instantly on the website but not via the plugin (and no doubt there are others - the website seems to show a lot more titles for Discovery Channel than the plugin does).

Is this a bug on your end, a bug on their end, or a purposeful restriction on their end?

If it's a purposeful restriction, can you come up with some method by which I could manually add desired titles to some sort of "favorites" list, perhaps by URL, to bypass omissions from the feed?

edit: oops, partially my bad but there's still an issue: "When We Left Earth" and "Pitchmen" show up in the "All Movies" list, but show no Genre tags at all nor any Year; this is surely somebody's bug

edit: scrolling through the P's, I also came across "Painkiller Jane", "Park City", "Peter Gunn", and others with no Genre tags. These are all series shows, so it looks like there's a bug pertaining to getting the details for some (but certainly not all) series shows.

Definitely not purposeful on their end but their data feeds do have some issue with not listing titles correctly. I will double check to make sure it's not an error in the code though.
