Some filters can take a while stop. Try a different video/audio decoder to see if it helps. Also disable ffdshow if you're using it.

I tried intervideo, w/ ffdshow off, and caching live to a different drive. Nothing changed.

It's usually only 1 sec at the most, in truth. I thought it was the fact it was doing the "getValue cached value: /settings/EPGProcessingMode" 2x that may be holding it up.

This was actually high on my wish-list too at first, but now I've more or less changed my own behaviour. I hardly ever use standard time-shifting, instead I start to record any show I'm going to watch and cancel the recording if it turns out to be boring.
Still would be a nice feature though..

Hehehehe, ok! I can dream, eh? Just out of interest, on a scale of 1-10, how technically challenging is what I suggested (recording multiple channels across a mux at once)? And, again on a scale of 1-10, how likely are we to ever see it?

I must try and get to grips with the DVB APIs in DirectShow, I'd love to try and extract over-the-air EPG data, save them as XML and use them in GB-PVR.

sub Wrote:The UK is pretty much different to everyone else, having adopted MHEG instead. I have no access to MHEG, so you probably wont see any support for it in the future.

Quite ridiculous IMO - old style teletext was perfectly adequate.

- Rubbish reception, due to dodgy set-top aerial
- MVP occasionally losing connection with PC

Hi,

now I try to install GBPVR since 2 days. It is impossible!
Everytime, the installer makes a rollback.

My last try:

Unstall GBPVRRecordingService.xe via .net-installer (like sub's post on page 4 of this thread).
Deleting the gbpvr-folger
Delete any "gbpvr" "devnz" entry in the windows registry.
Fulltext-Search on drive C for gbpvr and devnz -> deleting all files

Now I've tried to reinstall with
msiexec /i GBPVR09310.msi /liev install.log

There is still the same error.

What can I do ?

Bye,
Sebastian

Rehi,

I've read the Logfile:

SelfRegModules: File: GBPVRPush.ax
Folder: C:\Programme\devnz\gbpvr\
Action 17:14:47: WiseDotNetInstall.GBPVRRecordingService.exe.
Action ended 17:14:47: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.
Action 17:14:47: Rollback. Rolling back action:
Rollback: WiseDotNetInstall.GBPVRRecordingService.exe
Rollback: Registering modules...
Rollback: Writing system registry values...

I believe, the error still happens at
Action 17:14:47: WiseDotNetInstall.GBPVRRecordingService.exe.

InstallUtil /u ... says, the uninstallation was successful.

Bye,
Sebastian
