Took advantage of everyone taking an afternoon nap.

Stopped all the GBP PVR processes (Recording Service, Tray, and GBPVR). Unplugged MVP. Backuped up GB-PVR folder. Ran vcredist_x86. Installed 1.08 over 0.99-5. Recordings already imported. Plugged in MVP. Everything runs great.

I have no problems getting the channel logos to show in the old GUI but can't seem to get them to show up in PVRX2. Are we just not there yet?

You'll most likely need to tweak the <TVGuideChannelHeaderType>3</TVGuideChannelHeaderType> setting in config.xml.

0=icon + name
1=number + name
2=name
3=app decides which to used based on the number of channels with icons available.

The US is a bit funny in that the channel name includes the number, so option 1, could seem strange.

Forgive the daft question but I only just discovered GBPVR last night, probably minutes before the new version went up [ Smile

], having yesterday received my new Hauppauge MediaMVP unit (and of course failed to get the bundled software to work!). Anyway I duly downloaded the previous version and it ran superbly- mightily impressed.

So I was very excited to find today a new version but I don't see a "GBPVR MediaMVP Server" option on the menu anymore - is this something we're going to have to wait a little longer for or am I missing something?

You're supposed to set the 'number of servers to auto start' setting in the config app to 1 or more if you have an MVP.

Ooh. nice feature. I will revise my Y! grabber to not include the number in the name.

Well, it was set to 3 and I've tried the rest but still no channel logos in PVRX2. Do I have to have them placed in a different directy than they are now as they do work with the old GUI? Actually, no matter what I change it to, the old GUI stays the same---with the logos showing.

Yeah, its the same directory.

The filename need to match the channel name. In the US, you may need to include the channel number in the name, since this is the way it comes in through the EPG.

Yes, while I don't need the 3 as part of the name for the old GUI, I do for PVRX2 as it does work. Can't seem to get just the logo as it always wants to put the logo plus the # name again but I can live with that.
