If you use an HDHomeRun, you can extract the EPG into xml. I set this up the other day and it works perfectly - only 2 minor issues:
1. All shows are marked as "NEW". However, the author is aware and a fix is being worked on. You can also uncheck the "New" flag in NPVR settings. Not sure how this will affect series recordings. 2. Can only extract 7 days worth of data, but not really a big deal. Reddit link https://www.reddit.com/r/JellyfinCommuni..._suitable/ Github link https://github.com/IncubusVictim/HDHomeRunEPG-to-XmlTv

Anyone else having issues again? I've been just going into the host file to update the IP address and that worked great until today. Now when I try to use it it tells me it's 403 forbidden. I tried a couple different IP addresses with no luck. :/

Editing the host file won't work anymore, the earlier posts explain why. Amazing that you bothered.

For anyone who was using a python script for Zap2xml like me, with the help of the user agent suggestion and Grok I updated my zap2xml.py to the attached and I have guide data again. Also can find it in this post: (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threa...st-1302746). I had already previously modified the URLs to gracenote.
More lightweight than the pearl version. Idk about the .exe. I already had something that worked a week ago so I didn't want to start from scratch. I use windows and Jellyfin/nextPVR. A batch file and task scheduler automate my guide data. I don't post on forums much because normally my problems are old and there's already a solution. First time I've been on the front lines ![]() Original source was arantius. A very simple script to fetch EPG data from zap2it.com and write it to XMLTV format. https://github.com/arantius/zap2xml-py

Where can I find this to make the changes?
I'm a pretty basic user and get lost easily at this level. TIA

This thread is quite confusing since there are so many work around being discussed so you need to be clearer if you want help. Using Schedules Direct is a bargain and much easier than any of this.
Perl zap2mxl.pl solutions. Ensure that edits for gracenote and the useragent are in place. 1. complile zap2xml.pl with perl to create a new exe 2. Run perl with the zap2xml.pl without compiling. or 3. run a user submitted zap2xml.exe if trusted. Python zap2epg.py 1. figure out how to user python with NextPVR create the needed files and use python to generate the files. mc2xml 1. Not sure if it is still working no update for a user-agent.
