hey thanks for the feedback, this topic needs some discussion, i problem with the first idea is that you have to manually start a playlist then return to the filelist and start the slideshow, its just to many actions i think. there has to be a wonderful and simple way to do this..... i just wonder what it is..

You could just have a "music" menu option in MyPictures, and if you wanted music happening while you were looking at pictures, you could hit that button, perhaps choose from a couple of playlists and random/non-random mode, and then just browse your pictures as normal, with perhaps the playlist stopping when you leave MyPictures.

The .m3u playlists that you want to be available to the plugin could be placed in a particular directory specified in the config.

I was wondering if anyone was using the web cams with .xml files, if they could check to see if the web images are loading when using the latest version of gbpvr. I'm getting the downloading message only...

it works for me, but there is a bug when you view one cam, close it and view another, it shows the original cam image at first (until the next download).

but it does work, and it does reload. its probably just a webtimeout or something on your connection (they happen from time to time).

hmm, i can get the image to load now reven, but not til i clicked with mouse on the black downloading message screen... i accidently clicked on it, and the image was displayed.

Double checked if it was latest version, still using the vancouver.xml sample... with any skin, it does the same, hehe... just an update on my progress thats all... its likely my end... but i did have it working at one time before now. Going to keep fiddling with it.

I have just downloaded the new MyPictures3Alpha5 and it dosent appear when useing the default blue skin.

Ive checked the logs and it appears that since I dont have MyMusic or MyVideos installed I dont therefore have OnScreenKeyboard installed which is causing it to fail on init (the skin files are missing).

The plugin works on other skins, I assume I just have to get the onscreenkeyboard blue skin from one of the other plugins to get it to work, I guess it would make sense to put the OnScreenKeyboard skin in the MyPictures zip.

I also have a problem in that the slideshows dont update on mvp, works fine when running on the PC. If i select slideshow in a directory and wait 10 seconds or so I only see the first image, if i then hit back / exit I return to the main plugin screen and the current highlighted file has moved the correct number so it seems to be updateing internally, its just the mvp screen refresh that isnt working.
The preveous version of the plugin worked fine.

Any ideas ?
I did notice that I dont have a MyDatabase.mdb which is mentioned in the wiki.

you must have a working version of my pictures 2 before you install this version, also if your a newbie here dont bother. i wont provide basic support for this, its alpha, if you cant get it going wait until the final release (whenever that will be).

sorry to be harsh, but its alpha, still buggy and only meant to be used by experienced users (the zip file doesnt include everything you need, only updated things from mypictures 2).

Hmm well I did mention in my post that it worked fine on the previous version, so yes I do have a working setup with version 2.

I simply upgraded from version2 to the new alpha, I only upgraded because the new skin I’m using (flat blue high vis) didn’t work with version 2 so I thought Id give the alpha a try.

After upgrading to the alpha the high vis skin worked fine but the default skin didn’t because the alpha is dependent on having one of the other MySeries plugins installed to get the skin files for OnScreenKeyboard.
I thought you might find this info useful for future releases.

I may be relatively new to GBPVR but I am a professional programmer of 20 years experience so I do know what an alpha is and wasn’t expecting it to be a final release.
I was simply looking for a few pointers to see if there was anything I was missing as it looked like others were having no problems with the MVP.
I also thought you might appreciate the feedback..

Ill leave the bug testing to all your more experienced users and wait for a final release then.

nah i didnt mean to sound harsh or anything, i was just saying (and far as i know) if you had v2 working fine then replacing it with the files in the zip should work fine aswell, it should only work with the blue skin (well any but it will only show up as the blue skin, ie in "flat blue high vis" it should look like the "blue" skin, since it checks to see if the tag <Version> in "flat blue high vis"\my pictures\skin.xml matches "3.0" and if it doesnt it uses the blue skin, it also checks to see if the "My Series\skin.xml" matches "1.0".)

as far as i know it does work fine on the mvp, a few users have been using it (just transitions are crap, so they turn them off).

i dont mind if you want to use it, im just not going to give you step by step instructions on how to get it working, if you get it work and then find bugs please post them.
