Cool, thought I was going crazy there for awhile. Couldn't believe no one else had mentioned it, given what time of year it is! Smile

The only obvious error I can see in your log is the following:

10:34:41.286 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: LAME Audio Encoder
10:34:41.333 ERROR Failed to load filter: LAME Audio Encoder

Which was most likely caused when you tried to list to the radio? It then went on to try to use that filter, which may have led to problems and left things in an inconsistant state.

Thanks for the insight, I'll look into that.

Quote:I have written to you about netradio in the past. In the latest version, it seems to be worse. When I go to netradio and click on a station, both my PC AND MVP go back to the main screen and I get a dialog box that tells me that the station definition could not be downloaded. About every 10th time I go to configuration and restart the server, netradio will work and it will work until something goes wrong and the mvp goes back to contacting server (which is quite often).
Can you reproduce the problem then post your GBPVR.exe.log?

Quote:I also have problems with videos that I watch. When I hit stop or get to the end of the mpg, the MVP drops to the startup contacting server screen.
Again, the best advice is to reproduce the problem and post the logs. Some users have found things work better for them with an older version of dongle.bin. It may be worth trying if you havent already. There is a thread about this in the MVP forum.

Quote:Any ideas, I love GBPVR and all of the plugins but I am considering giving it up for the old standard Hauppage software because these issues have been so frustrating. I have two servers and two MVPs and it acts exactly the same with all combinations.
Whenever I see comments saying a user is considering giving up, I'm usually tempted to let them go.

I had the same problem last version and assumed it was a problem with the data i was getting from zap2it so i turned the feature off. Guess not!

Sub,

I tried and old dongle and got the same result. Here is my gbpvr.exe.log (the end of it relating to the netradio problem). As I said, it even does this when I run on the PC only.

I'm guessing a firewall is getting in the way and stopping GB-PVR from being able to communicate with http://www.shoutcast.com. Unfortunately I'm not logging the part of the error that would tell me for sure, but I've now changed this, so when I put out a bug fix release later to day it'll show some more useful diagnostics for your problem.

Thanks Sub,

I also installed the dongle.bin from release 23096 and it has helped some (seams to be more stable now--I tried a really old one and it didn't help). Netradio works more often now and I can hit stop on a video now without it going back to the connecting to server screen.

I am running Windows XP SP2 firewall but I thought I exempted all the files I needed to. I also have a Linksys router with firewall.

I've actually gone back to that version of dongle.bin for the next release. It is more stable.

As I said, the next release will give a bit more diagnostic information on this netradio problem.
