0=icon + name
1=number + name
2=name
3=app decides which to used based on the number of channels with icons available.

The US is a bit funny in that the channel name includes the number, so option 1, could seem strange.

Any possibility of a 4 = icon only in future? My TV guide window could then be wider as icon PLUS number takes up quite a bit of space to the left....

As an option I hope?
For people who use the epg data with older versions or programs other than gbpvr, also.

Forgive the ignorance. I installed 1.08 on an XP machine (CIA C3 1Ghz, PVR350). Running PVRX2 brings up a transparent window (the title bar says PVRX2, but it's an empty or see-through window (I can see the desktop behind it). In other words, there's nothing in it. I waited about 15 minutes and still nothing. The window can be moved It's just a border). Any help appreciated.

On a separate topic, since I deleted my EPG source I am stuck right now because zap2it seems to be still not working (the new 1.08 shows quite a bit of error messages when updating the EPG.), the old one just says something is wrong with the EPG settings. This has been going on for several hours.

Thank you.

I knew someone was going to ask for this. Unfortunately thats not possible, since these values can only affect the contents within that channel header box, not the size of the channel header box or the listing box.

What you're asking for can easily be done with a minor skin change to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\TV Guide\skin.xml though.

Unfortunately, I suspect your machine wont be able to cope with PVRX2. I dont think these VIA EPIA a machines do VMR9 + Direct3D. I suspect there will be a message in your PVRX2.exe-native.log about VMR9 not being available.

Sorry - not much I can say really.

Keep trying. I'm sure they'll be back up a little later.

I suspected it would be too slow. Anyway, the pvrx2 log has no error messges, just lots and lots of OnPaint() lines. The pvrx2-native log has lots and lots (thousands?) of messages like this:

"creating new texture (720x480)"
"Error m_pd3DDev->CreateTexture(UIElement...) failed"
"Error Code: 8876086C"
"D3Derr_InvalidCall"

The file is about 1.5Mbytes of those messages.

Thx a lot.

Yeah, I dont think the onboard video can create the type/size of Direct3D textures PVRX2 requires. Sorry.

Adding a videocard may help with this error, but I suspect the CPU is probably too slow.

Sub, thanks for the reply to my question about the old gui still showing up with the new version. I was able to get the new gui to show by running pvrx2.exe. The reason why this didn't occur to me was that I alway launch the app by right clicking the gbpvr icon in the system tray an clickin on "Start GB-PVR". Any reason why starting the app this way still brings up the old gui?

Regarding my issue with zap2it, it appears that many others are having the same problem. I'll keep trying to get it to run. Is there a way to check the contents of a file to see whether or not it updated without having to check through the app itself? Any alternative in the works to get the EPG when zap2it cuts the cord?

A couple of others pointed this out today also. I never start the app this way, so forgot to update it. I've fixed this for the next release.

sub, remember I had that issue with extra Prime channels? When it added another one (3 in total) I thought I had better get serious! Basically, started again with a clean database. Looks perfect again, now. Must have had a corrupted index or sumpin'.
