I found another reason why you might be getting at the registry settings correctly. Updating soon. Please copy and paste the lines in the log regarding "App Get Settings" if it is still not working

My latest version (to be released) works with a stick quite well. Becaus ea stick slows everything down, I was able to isolate some other issues and fix them.

There is one requirement, and I'm not sure I'll be adjusting to remove the requirement.

you must have the same directory structure between your C drive (or Main drive) and the thumb drive...

What I've done is: made sure Ultra will fly anywhere, and will take an xmltv file from anywhere on the same drive as Ultra. It will also work with (when working manually) a grabber program from anywhere on the same drive as Ultra...

(I know that I have told people to put stuff in the structure I suggested earlier, but no sense fighting it, you guys are way too stubbourn)

That means that you could keep, the Grabber, Ultra, the cache and the final xmltv on your thumb-drive. At home it might be drive X:\ at work it might be drive G:\

When you take it home, Ultra will see your GB-PVR,a dn you can call the GB-PVR EPG Update so that it pulls info from the new xmltv file on the thumb drive. Once updated, the TV Guide will work, regardless if the stick is in...

Man, documetation really is the tough part... did any of this make sense?

Yo will have to remove registry again. I did do something to tye types of some reg values.

Also grab the first part of the log that dumps all the regvalues, and paste it into here...

So on a side note. I have mc2xml and Ultra running on a USB stick. Everything is good.

The Irony is that the slowest part of it all is whurlston's xmltv.dll as it writes the new file to stick.

All of my xml queries seem to run quickly and the download from the net(and write to stick) is about as fast. I believe we'll have this solution for you poor Dial-up user...

(Nothing worst then using Dial-up, getting High Spoeed and the forced to use Dial Up again)

Obviously you have more time than I do for testing during the day.

I had a brief moment and thought I would give it a try on a 3rd PC to see if Tool Tips worked or not and they seem to work (although I didn't check everywhere). I'll try on my home PC as well and when I get to work next week (Yahoo!!! I'm off today), I'll test there again. Maybe it's that the problem is computer specific and just my one at work is having a problem.

While I was working in Zehd's Picks some more, I wasn't really happy with how the Movie Titles were being displayed:

Any suggestions? Of course my goal is to be fairly customizable, (although currently Movie titles only have a format [Title][Year][StarRating])

I wonder of some spaces or hyphens would make it more readable...

I was starting to think it was specific. Sometimes too, 'Remote Control' software can disable the popups of balloons and tooltips...

Version 225132 Bug Report.

If I run Ultra w/Commit and then go to the TS tab and have it GB-PVR Update EPG it seems to go into an infinite loop. I killed it after running for over 6 minutes. Since Ultra doesn't write the file until it is complete, I can't look at Task Manager Reads and Writes to see if it is running or stuck.

If I run w/Commit and exit Ultra and then start up Ultra again and go to the TS tab to update the EPG, it runs successfully (in 2 1/2 minutes).

I'm surprised that it was happening, It happened to me too, even though I've been testing like that a lot. Don't get it.

Oh well, made a small change, it worked right. So here's the patch. I've been working on the SeasEp tab, so you might get some strange things happening... But nothing serious

Just wanted to make sure that displaying Original Air Date is still on your "In Process" list. Of all the issues you still have to finish, this should be one of the simpler ones.

Here is the relevant portion of the xml file and below is a snap of the listing in GBPVR. The Original Air Date was 11/18/2007. Note that the original date is not shown in the listing.
