Just wanted to popin and say great application Sub Smile

one or two teething problems I had, are all mentioned here already, I also noticed one or two plugins need tweeking, and database problems. but other than that its still the best I've used.

to get around most of the install problems I had to install v 0.92.xx and installed the new one over it. and just re-entered the config.exe with fresh info.

If it helps anyone, after my earlier problems I have now been able to install the new release over the existing 09211 without uninstalling anything.

In the past, I have always stopped gbpvr.exe, gbpvrrecordingservice.exe, and gbpvrtray.exe and then installed the upgrade; for this release I tried without stopping them and it installed over the top without losing config settings, recordings, channels, etc. don't know if this titbit will help anyone.

On a related note, what's the ETA on updated skins to take advantage of the new release? Are there any fundamental changes to how skins are handled?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sub,

now I've solved the problem with the gbpvr-installer:

In the last two days, I've downloaded GBPVR 3 times. The filesize was exactly 6083584 Byte.
Today I've downloaded the same GBPVR09310.msi from your homepage.
This file has 5955072 Bytes.

With the new package, it works!

Now, I've a little question:
Should videotext now work in timeshift-mode ?
I'm using a virtual desktop with 3 TFT-displays and only timeshift-mode shows videos an all displays.

Thanks for this great release!

Bye,
Sebastian

Assuming videotext is just another name for teletext, then yes it should work.

Hi sub,

ok. I should, but it does not:-(
I see the digits in the layer over the video. But there is no 'teletext' here in germany.
Must I install the hauppauge teletext-software for this feature ?

Now I've two questions more:

The plugin "My videos" is in the config-app activet, but there is no button in gbpvr. Must I do something to else to active it ?
In the skin-directory is a subfolder called MyVideos.

When I start the fm-radio-scan, it runs trough all channels (I can hear and see this), but gbpvr found no channels.

Thanks for help!
Bye,
Sebastian

which skin are you using? look at the logfiles: gbpvr.exe.log should do it.

hey sub, have you activated the aspect-ratio-feature for overlay mode? was playing with the new release and while playing an xvid-movie it was stretched. i deactivated aspect ratio-correction in ffdshow and it displayed correctly...

any other changes in overlay mode? teletext or something ;-)?

thanks for this release!

Hi dottore,

I've fixed the problem. In config was C:\program files instead of C.\programme. In My Pictures and My Music, the setting was automaticly correct.

Now, in my "want to use" list is only teletext and fm-radio-scan:-)

Today, I've ordered the new hauppauge pvr 500 mce KIT (end use package from hauppauge with ir-remote and ir-blaster). I hope gbpvr supports it:-)

Thanks for your great help!

Hi,

now, fm-radio works, but I hear an echo of the tuned station.
The delay is 2 seconds. It seems, gbpvr plays the station live and additionaly buffered from a file.

How can I solve the problem ?

Its not something I've come across, or heard reports of. Email your logs over to support@devnz.com and I'll have a look to see if I can see anything obvious.
