Gee Martin
That was quick
Sorry I should have said NMTInstall2 and the wiki help is basically what I am doing. Everthing works fine for the new pc, Its just when I try the old PC
I just can't find any logging details for the popcorn. It flashes a couple of times before it falls back to the popcorn menu.
I don't know why NMTInstall2 did not work on the xp machine as it works fine on the win 7 pc
Thanks
Dave

Sorry I forgot to add NPVR is on G: drive which happens to be the local disk. Also I can browse from the popcorn to the mvpmc folder on that pc. Also on G:drive

First I'd suspect you have a problem with the non-working startmeup possible a command line error.

# 3/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 720 --emulate 10.0.0.133

#/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080p --emulate 10.0.0.133
#/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 --em-npvr --emulate 192.168.1.8
#/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m --emulate 192.168.1.8
# Analog TV settings

Ok, go to the XP server (10.0.0.133) and run the NMT syntax check and post the results. However you cannot cross from 10.0.0.0 and 192.168.0.0 subnets.

Did you enter the IP of your NMT for this? If you so and it is 10.0.0.133 your startmeup command line is wrong you need the IP of your XP server not the NMT

That's better and looks ok. Do you have a firewall issue blocking access? NextPVR.exe needs to be open for TCP and UDP on that PC.

I am not seeing the NMT coming back in on the TCP port 5916 which indicates either a firewall problem or the wrong IP in startmeup.
