Lol, owkay, never worked with metadata before.

Here ya go, it worked for me. (created meatadata from the one you provided)
Also copied your settings into it.

Now, is there still a problem regarding the time format?

i guess we should change the name also, since it is clearly not an iMONDisplay -plugin anymore

recording time format was fixed with last version...Smile
oh btw, the other files go in smartie plugins dir..they enable the offline db queries for next and recordings..[will package separately with smartie]
but that settings .xml file still has typo in it..{Cur_DateTime} is missing _ Smile

Sweet! everything working properly... xml data working well from local and network paths..
currently recordings show fine, even when watching livetv or recordings, still have to test audio/dvd tho...

Maybe VFD/LCD plugin? people might think lcd is for main tv screen...
Should work for almost any vfd/lcd now..Big Grin
i've got standby msg working for those who have displays that stay on when machine suspends..
so with things pretty much golden now, i'll start packaging the smartie stuff for plug n play setup for casual users..

Thanx for all your work on this..lookin great..Big Grin

Just made the plugin culture invariant, which means, everyone can use h:mmtt...

Next is implementing the audio tags
and maybe creating an installer :-D

and of course make the LCD part also configurable

pBS,

In the meantime, could you give me quick summarise on how to set up the whole LCDsmartie thing?
That way I can add it to the first post. Just to be complete...

thx,
Nick

EDIT: Allriiiight! Just noticed you've put {File_Name} in Custom_Line_2, which in neccessary for Webradio, since this one does not provide a Playing_Audio Tag... Nice!

EDIT2: What name should you sugget? nPvrDisplayPlugin?

sure...will have a complete smartie zipped up and ready to go later tonight.....
only thing have to edit is path to npvr in couple places..will make a quickie setup helper..[to adjust paths where needed] and select display type/size..

and yea, the {filename} thingy catches anything that doesn't have info..Smile which is handy..
seems all my audio tags already works, is it because of this?

i was thinking nPvr VFD-LCDPlugin...just cuz lcd's are everywhere..vfd's are almost exclusively used as tiny displays..and having both in there shows it can be used for both..
display plugin might be mistaken for some sort of primary display adjustment..
but really up to you...what's in a name anyways? Smile
as long as there's a pic to show it'll be clear as to what it is for...
i'll see if i can't make an animated gif to show it in action for wiki...Big Grin

oh, what happened to the duration, etc status? was gonna build default 3 and 4th lines with some of that..

i notice it doesn't change display when playing audio, then without stopping, play a video...but i think it's the apps events fault...it always did that..
[it looks like nothing's playing at all] not a biggie tho..

Here's a basic smartie setup for a 2x16 display with desktop display driver selected..
Just unzip it somewhere and run LCDSmartie.exe
User must select their own lcd driver type..then should be good to go...Big Grin

The ini files are setup for a win7/vista machine, users must edit sqlite*.ini files in plugins dir for xp..[example given inside]

To get Next: for suspend msg, just run Lcdoff.exe in smartie dir when suspending, and restart smartie when coming back from suspend...
i use IRSS for remote, and it has events for suspend, etc and it works well for me because it's a service so can make windows wait for execution...

i had to remove the smartie rss .dll's to make it small enough to upload..[libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll] and sg_vfd.dll tho users should have that one already..
let me know if any problems..

yep...Smile but need some mechanism to run it at suspend, like irss.....and must run it in smartie dir...

actually, i found a better way to do it, just pause smartie after going to the proper page..Smile
that way don't have to keep killing/restarting smartie..which might lead to other problems..
i'll convert it over to doing it that way soon..it's just quicker and nicer...same results..

nPvr natively gets {arist} - {title}. The audiotag goes not work for now.

Will have a look at that one

I think you or someone else mentioned that one before.
It's a big in nPvr itselfs. It doens does create an event or something like that.

Anywayz, will check those thing this weekend. I'm out of the coutry this week.

grtz,
Nick
