I am coding a plugin (alpha version) which can run external commands on files and move files and directories to predefined locations updating the dbase simultaneously. If someone would like to test it PM me.

I have not worked much on it since I announced it. I am using it occasionally to archive a recording to NAS or run some external batch files with almost no problems so it could be considered beta. There are some problems with screen updates when run from a client in the NMT mode, where sometimes the file list on the screen is not completely updated.

any chance of source? would love to extend it just a bit...Smile [like browse button for executeable, etc]
oh and db case can be insensitive...use 'like' instead of = in select statements..Smile [where filename like "c:\ThIsIsAPaTh"] [and %=wildcard]

am getting lots of network traffic when just sitting there.. and 50% cpu when doing copy..should probably execute it in another thread..
will have to try batch files, maybe they'll solve some of that..[by running in their own cmd thread] so when exiting will still continue current op...

PM me your e-mail for the source.

If I remember correctly the problem was that NPVR does not use 'like'. So if the new location is set like c:\... NPVR fails to find the file in the dbase.

You can use 'like' in npvr's advanced rule in Manual Recording.

Then it was something else. It could be my code (not using 'like' at the time I wrote readme.txt) or NPVR. I really do not recall the details anymore.

still, thanx for the code...at least now there's *something* to archive with...Smile
will see what i can do about skins and cpu/net use..[both way higher than they should be]
i think he changed the case sense a while back cuz it was giving other users problems..

i just needed a framework to start up with, never made a plugin that needed config panel or a skin yet..Smile
