no idea how to generate md5 sums as you have suggested. I used the repair archive facility in WINRAR and the problem with vcredist zip seems to be solved. Obviously something is going on that makes the download corrupt, but I dont now what. I installled the C lib. Unfortunately it seems that the msi can't be repaired in the same way by winrar. Any suggestions as to how to proceed are welcome since I REALLY am eager to run your app

I've just this moment downloaded the MSI file again. On an md5 checker it produces the same checksum as subs. It installs on my test machine fine. It's not the IE download oddity cropping up again ??

[Path] / filename MD5 sum
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[D:\My Documents\downloads\wintv\gbpvr\] GBPVR10016.msi d1b314de0618f59692323723a67441c9

you can get an MD5 checker from http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/

Thanks martint123,

I use md5sums and this was the result

GBPVR10016.msi c8e961d65dc3ed09e056af3f865d75c2

obviously the file is corrupted.

The question is what to do now to get GB-PVR installed
any suggestions are welcome.

Glad you got it in the end. I was about to suggest trying right-click and "save target as" with IE.

sub Wrote:You can capture them with Ctrl-T during playback. They show in the Recordings screen when your're in the large view mode. I think you'd also see them in the video library when in the icon or filmstrip view modes.

How do I do this on the MVP? Or is that available?

There is no mapping for this on the MVP. Maybe in a future release.

"- tray icon can now be used to start PVRX2.exe instead of GBPVR.exe"

Since the Tray Icon is now starting PVRX2 instead if GBPVR, would it still be possible to use the previous GBPVRTray.exe so that we can still use the tray to launch GBPVR.

I'm asking because I haven't gotten my new system yet, and the PVRX2 kind of slows the system a little bit.

Thanks,

- Ian

Reading the forum, I get the impression that this release has a lot of problems. Being a newbie with gbpvr, is this a better start then 1.0 or 1.08 or not?

regards, Eppo
