pBS Wrote:yep...Smile but need some mechanism to run it at suspend, like irss.....and must run it in smartie dir...

actually, i found a better way to do it, just pause smartie after going to the proper page..Smile
that way don't have to keep killing/restarting smartie..which might lead to other problems..
i'll convert it over to doing it that way soon..it's just quicker and nicer...same results..

Cool!

i think the audio info npvr supplies is from the audio tags, so you might not need to implement them..Big Grin tho for more tags i guess you'd have to..
just glad it works already Smile
and i wouldn't worry about the audio->video thing...it's not a biggie, and recovers well, so won't be a problem..

thanx for all your hard work and big ups for releasing the source..Big Grin
it's very stable and responsive and still haven't even started seeing what is possible with customizations..[ie: animated icons, etc using the custom tags]
the extra info imon owners get makes me want one of those now...Smile
but happy with the main stuff as it's all i really used before..
happy trippin!

here's a new program to replace lcdoff.exe for suspend Next: msg..
in IRSS i put LCDPause.exe to run on suspend event, with params "pause lcdsmartie.exe"
and for resume event, LCDPause.exe with params "resume lcdsmartie.exe"

it's nicer cuz it doesn't have to kill and restart lcdsmartie, and the mess with the tray..
making it generally more stable..Smile [and hopefully faster]

you still need the hotkey plugin for smartie, and what you want displayed for next: on screen 3..[all already setup in post#1 smartie pack]
and can use any program that has events for suspend, like hip, irss, MCEStandby Tool, etc to launch it on suspend and resume..

oh yea, it can also be used to pause/resume any other program...like comskip, etc..Big Grin

pBS, looks good. I must find some time to try all this out. Still running GB-PVR with the older LCDSmartie version (so I can get suspend Next: msg native to LCDSmartie without LCDPause etc.). Will move to NPVR (& this plugin) with the next release so I guess there is a lot of changes to make for me.
Not tried IRSS for suspend/wake (use it for blasting only) as I currently use MCEStandby for this, guess it will work just as well.

This works great with your GBPVR version too! Sweet!!!

Am I supposed to get multiple system tray icons which on clicking have options to unpause "pause lcdsmartie.exe" & "resume lcdsmartie.exe" ?
I had like 30 of these in the system try. I am using HIP to run the commands at wake & standby.

Its behaving fine for me. I am using MCE Standby tool. You do have it in your LCD Smartie Folder, right? Maybe its the way your calling it in HIP? Maybe make two test batch files for pause and resume so you can see what its doing?

it shouldn't matter where it is actually, it just pauses the process as it appears in task manager..but if the name is different that might throw it off..
it looks for "LCDSmartie.exe" specifically...may need to be run as admin to have rights..
services seem to have the rights necessary [IRSS and MST] so you'd probably have to run hip as admin if it isn't already..
try it from cmd line to see whats goin on..

Just noticed Soundgraph have now released the API version as an auto update to all iMON users. I guess this is going to force me to find time to convert from my old setup to this plugin as they have removed the old way of using 3rd-party plugins for Frontview (so can't get LCDSmartie to display anything). Thanks again for doing this work and hopefully making my job a lot easier.

I assume nothing has changed in relation to this plugin with the official 7.97.0314

@pBS
Been playing with this over the weekend and have a strange problem with LCDPause. It seems the static LCDSmartie 5.4.1.7 shutdown message kicks in before the pause can take effect (and therefore is the message that is paused!).

I've tried running from both a batch file and as a direct entry in both IRSS and MCEStandby. Oddly if I run the LCDPause command first (using same batch file/command as before) and then standby (as 2 separate manual actions) then it works fine.

I'm doing the testing without the iMON software or plugin, might LCDPause be tied into requiring this?
Thanks
