I think this also happend in the last release but I'm just started to notice now.

Same thing happening here. Even if I leave the computer on at 3, it's not updating the EPG, but if I manually update the listings, everything is fine.

O.k. I feel better knowing it's not just me. I always leave my computer on at night and I've never had a problem until now... I'm using a 350 if that matters (and I don't think it does) lol

Go into the config app and click the 'update epg' button then post your config.exe.log file and I'll take a look.

Here you go... The manually update does work. It's the automatic 3am thing that does not.

Can you post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log file which covers this 3am update?

Based on the error in your logs, it looks like either your firewall is not allowing the GBPVRRecordingService.exe process to communicate with the internet (zap2it), or zap2it happened to be down when it tried. I'm guessing the former.

Hummm... I haven't changed anything on my firewall lately. (like in the last year). It sounds like it might have been down since I was able to manually update it. Does the automatic update at 3:00am use the same ports as the manual update? (my manual update is working)

I'll check again tomorrow to see if it worked.

any change since there is now 1000's of gbpvr users out there and we are updating all at 3am that the zap2it server is to busy and just times out?
