Nick has mentioned here http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/show...tcount=559 that this release includes beta support for DVB-T HDTV broadcasts, specifically the BBC HD tests currently taking place in the UK. there doesn't seem to be any mention of this in the change log - any chance you could tell me what's being added/changed?

cheers

Well - I really threw caution to the wind for the ULTIMATE adrenaline rush and gave myself 30 minutes to install .NET 2.0 and GBPVR 97.7 before recording Desperate Housewives for my "Desperate Housewife" who's out for the night thinking this could be a bit like the rush I get on a crucial server job in the field. But Sub's done it to me again! Just like when I got my new MVP - everything just worked as "expected" straight away - no errors - no hiccups - even went as far as changing the database and straight away no problems.

Congratulations on another great update SUB (fun killer) Wink

Installed this last night. Backed up my gbpvr directory, installed .NET 2.0, rebooted, then did an upgrade to 97.7. I tested and all was well. Converted the dbase, tested and all was well.

I did have the strange behaviour with the Web Admin interface...where it was blank, then switched to blue, and got some text-only pages, and then pages not found, or something like that. But I logged out, cleared my browser cache and logged back on and it was all fine.

I am currently using GBPVR for recording only, not serving anything up with it (yet) so no plugins to test. Congrats on a great release Sub! Smile

Any attempt to advance the guide, either through the arrows or through the hour drop-down result in this error:

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Otherwise everything seems ok so far.

Tipstir- I'm not sure what you mean, I copied and pasted from the browser (on a remote machine).

Did you try setting your Web Admin theme to "Blue"? I think mine was set to "None" after the upgrade, and I had a lot of wierd stuff going on, with errors, and after the switch to the Blue theme it all seems to have leveled out. I also logged off, cleared my browser cache and logged back in and I have had no issues since.

cheers,

It looks like you've got your system set to use the 'system default' video decoder, but directshow strangely thinks an Mux filter is the system default video decoder. Can you try explicitly setting the video decoder?

If you're lucky, it might work. The relevent comment from the change log was:
Quote:- Implemented partial support for DVB channels using H264 video streams (MPEG-4). This only provides partial support - it'll give you correct identification of these channels when scanning, and if you're lucky, live preview mode live tv. Very experimental...If you've got the correct combination of directshow filters, and the wind is blowing in the right direction, then it might work. Recording will be implemented in a future release.
