sorry, been out of town for a bit...
shouldn't need imon software, it only interacts with smartie software..
it's a timing thing, my win7 is pretty clean, but i may have a reg entry that'll give it more time to work...tho may have to make it a service to get appropriate delay needed..
is it a slow or fast system? my dev machine is just a celeron e3400 [2.6ghz c2duo] w/2g ram on 32bit-w7.

I had like 30 of these in the system try. I am using HIP to run the commands at wake & standby.

hip sometimes runs the cmds late, e.g: a pause *after* resume, and then gets stuck out of order..
i always found it's scheduler unreliable, so i quit using it for this sort of stuff..[used it regularly for several months only to see misses of events]

note:
Always put the OS you're using as they perform radically different when it comes to power control....
XP works great, vista/win7 can't do certain things properly..[and they have no plans to change it]
i'm still trying to figure out an easy way to tell if win7 is in away mode..

you can get it to work perfectly if you use the program Toff for suspend instead of windows sleep timers..
it replaces windows' own sleep timers,[set win sleep times to 'never' so Toff can do it instead] and gives much more control over it than windows..
here's a sample cmdline to run it..[it helps you save a batch file of the settings]
Code:
start "" TOff.exe /run /systray /eachtime todo=hs type=ip wait="0:20:0" runfile="C:\\Program Files\\DEVNZ\\Gbpv\\lcd_smartie_5.4B3_beta\\LCDPause.exe" thenwait=3 /musm /pccpuactivity cpuusage=5
i haven't tested it extensively in win7 but it does work pretty well...

So I've downloaded iMonDisplayPlugin V0.5 Install.rar‎, un-rared it and run the install file as the administrator. Do I need to do anything else? Is there any menu or setting page that should appear on either iMon or nextPVR? I can't seem to find anything. How would one verify that it has been installed correctly?

One problem I found is that it does not appear that the app will install properly on Win 7 x64. It appears from the install batch file that a number of files need to be copied into NPVR\Plugins\iMonDisplayPlugin, another in Windows\system32 and a group of three in \NPVR.

I've done this but can't seem to see it working at all.

Bump, is this thread still relevant? Does the iMon plugin even work? I can't seem to get mine running at all but I've got no replies from my original post. Is there an alternative?

Hi!

iMonDisplayPlugin is working for me without any problems. You can use the Installer, it puts the files into the right places. Of course you could unpack this installer with 7-zip und place the files manually, but i don't think that this is neccessary.

Do you have the original SOUNDGRAPH iMon Software installed (it's now called iMon Manager)?
Have you enabled within iMon Software Manager 'Options -> Pluginmode' the usage of "Use Display-Plugin-Mode"?

After this is done, iMONDisplayPlugin should work out of the box like a charme. Just tried on a fresh installation.
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

My happy NextPVR family

Still not working?

Question about the installer..

this is what i get when I run it..
####################################

# iMonDisplayPlugin for nPvr #

'and' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Press any key to continue . . .

Now, I don't have LCDsmartie installed, its not listed as a pre-req, and I have a imon VFD (native support), with the last imon manager.

Cheers.

I don't know what's causing this, it still works fine for me.
But you can install it manually.

If you have winrar installed, just right click "iMonDisplayPlugin V0.5 Install" and extract it.

the copy

nPVR_iMON_API.dll, iMonDisplayPluginSettings.xml, nPVR_iMON_API.pdb & ID3.dll to C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\iMonDisplayPlugin\
iMONDisplay.dll to C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\
CoreAudioApi.dll, ADS.dll & ID3.dll to C:\Program Files\NPVR

this is for a x86 win 7 machine. Directory may vary when using an x64 or xp machine

grtz,
Nick

Looked at the install.bat file in the installer..

it defines the directories for the install using

FOR /F "TOKENS=2,*" %%a IN ('REG QUERY HKLM\SOFTWARE\NPVR /v DataDirectory ^| FINDSTR DataDirectory') DO SET DataDir=%%b%
FOR /F "TOKENS=2,*" %%a IN ('REG QUERY HKLM\SOFTWARE\NPVR /v InstallDirectory ^| FINDSTR InstallDirectory ') DO SET InstallDir=%%b%

I have the registry entry here for those two (that is correct), but it doesn't pick up on the directory properly.

I did notice that a c:\documents had been created.

Thanks for the tip on cracking the installer open, and manually copying the files over. 7zip will do it as well as winrar.
