scb147 Wrote:How does this affect Jim's I-XMLTV? I am having major problems getting all this to work correctly. I'm about ready to scrap the I-XMLTV and see if I can get this working with just the YahooXMLTV XML file.
The display name parameter was changed to default with no channel number in the name as per sub's wishes to support the guide display options. I left the other display name options in as per Jim's request. This should only affect the way channels are displayed but I am not sure.

The offset default was changed so that you no longer need to add the offset option if you were using "+0000". This should not affect I-XMLTv.

The nosort option was added per Jim's request for people who had previously scheduled season recordings. For example: if you had a season recording set for "The Closer", new shows would not be recorded because they showed up as "Closer, The" and it was seen as a different show.

Jim is diligently working to adapt I-XMLTv to the output of this program (for which I am extremely grateful). Any changes I make, he does not see ahead of time so it may take him a few days to modify I-XMLTv to accommodate them.

Noted. I will do it tomorrow though. I'm pretty tired.

Is this still working for everyone? I've tried updating my listings today and it only gives me 1 days worth of data (over the next 14 days). Earlier in the thread, someone said they weren't getting any data past the 20th. (In my case, it's the 19th.) Any ideas?

Code:
07/19/2007 17:48:02 -- Starting Update.
07/19/2007 17:48:02 -- Processing Lineups.
07/19/2007 17:48:02    -- Lineup 1 of 1: Comcast Suburbs (Denver) - Digital
07/19/2007 17:48:02       -- Downloading new listings. Attempt 1 of 3.
07/19/2007 17:48:02       -- Download successful. Processing new listings.
07/19/2007 17:48:02        -- Found 18 channels.
07/19/2007 17:48:02        -- Channels processed.
07/19/2007 17:48:02        -- Found 73 programs for 14 days.
07/19/2007 17:48:03        -- Programs processed.

07/19/2007 17:48:03    -- Completed.
07/19/2007 17:48:03 -- Update complete.

You should be seeing a much higher number of programs than that. Can you perform a test for me? Run the update manually, if it gives you a low number of programs, wait 30-60 seconds and run it again. If what I think is happening is correct, you will get more listings on the second try.

Hmm. I thought I replied to this message last night. I tried numerous times and it always kept bringing back stuff for one day. I confirmed that it was a problem with Yahoo though because when I ran their program to download the guide data, it contained the same information. I waited half an hour and then I was able to download the complete listings for 14 days.

I did have some difficulty getting stuff to display in GBPVR. Since I installed your new version, I read the new attributes you had added. Once I added name=3, everything was populated correctly in the guide.

Thanks for all the work you've done on this program! Smile

I've got this working in my test machine, and now want to move over to my main machine. Since I need to delete and then add my capture source during the setup process, is there anything I can do to preserve all of my "reoccurring" recording settings? I am hoping that I don't have to reenter all of them after the setup.

Also, on automating the process, are you running this from PostUpdateEPG.bat?

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know. Someone else may have an answer on this.

I don't have an UpdateEPG.bat file. I'll create one.

To help me understand this a little better, I suppose that the reason I don't have this file is that I'm currently using Zap2It, and using Zap2It doesn't require the file. Is this correct? And, UpdateEPG.bat is a XMLTV requirement.

Thanks, again.

The UpdateEPG.bat file will run the update just before it runs the GBPVR EPG update. You are correct, this is not needed with zap2it. It is not an xmltv requirement, per se, but if you need to execute something before the EPG update, this is a good place to do it. In this case, you need to have the XMLTV file updated so the new version can be read, therefore you need the UpdateEPG.bat file.
