Great job guys...finally installed it and worked great first time..
skin plugin seems really mem hungry but it cleans up after itself nicely..

now off to make some nice buttons/backgrounds/task images..
takes a lot of the nuts and bolts out of skin 'theme' making..
now can just concentrate on getting a good 'look'

is it possible to make custom alternate menu layouts?
notably horizontal menu buttons.
oh and can regular tvguide show more than 2hr now,or just tvlistings?

oh yea, bug, seems i can't change the tiny list icons, works in advanced edit, but doesn't save changes..

Yes, look in gbpvr\Plugins\SkinPlugin\Resources\MainMenus\

notably horizontal menu buttons.

I'm don't think you can do this in PVRX2 yet...?

what about the tiny folder icons for list view? mine stay the same no matter what i set...everything else works fine...big folders change fine..

i'm playing with it too much..hehe
i have some very mac like blue glass buttons and highlights, mac window looking borders etc..
where would the dialog 'frames' be located? n/m i can just browse and add..

hasn't crashed or 'redX'd yet..
i should be able to port my whole mac theme over soon..i'll post it...

and BurnDVD2 is a must add...he now has pvrx2 version and very nice.
but i think still no skinning worked out yet...

i was wondering why there were really no new skins for pvrx2...hehe
just make your own on the fly..

after looking at the skin, seems the ListView_Folder.png never gets referred to in list mode, just the folder.jpg...changed in baseskin.xml and works now.
looks like problem with skin plugin, not baseskin..

as for the burndvd2 plugin, it looks like skin broke it for some reason..
even the old version 1 still works, but new one just blinks and returns to main menu..[burndvdx2]

skin files are in the dir. and same as come with plugin..
any help appreciated..

Will try and get this permentatly fixed in a future release. CS3 is on hold for a bit due to fatman_do taking time out.

as for the burndvd2 plugin, it looks like skin broke it for some reason..

If it refers to commonimages in the base skin then it will be expecting a blue skin, when in fact it may need a few different names.

By looking at the pvrx2.exe.log you can see what element(s) are missing and then edit the burndvd2 plugin's skin accordingly.

Liked it, want to use it but XRecord does not work with Community Skin 3.0, am using the latest XSuite .50 and I get a great big red X when I choose XRecord and all the text is whacked and I can't see any navigation.

The first pic shows when I navigate within XRecord and 2nd pic shows when I choose a program to play (note: the buttons/text overlapping)

So am back to Basic Blue again

cd to that dir works, but i guess gb chokes on the double slashes..


EDIT: ahh, gotit...hadn't noticed it referenced skinNTSC.xml not skin.xml that alla that was in the dir..

Can you post the CS3 xrecord skin you're using.

The old community skin XRecord suite files are completely incompatible with PVRX2. I really would have to rewrite the whole thing. There is currently another post where there is some skinning discussions going on with Xrecord, and Fla is making changes. Maybe once the dust settles it will be easier to convert over.

The red "X" is from the image name not being found. We changed some image names and that is what the problem is with that.

Can't promise much, but my football season ends next weekend. You migh see around more often..
