I like the auto skipping. One request. Can we define a pre and post commercial segment frame count for padding the comskip results.

What is happening is the show hits a commercial segment and hits the comskip point and jumps. I like to see a second or two of commercials first to make sure that I did not miss anything.

No sorry, I'm not going to be making any more changes for autoskip. If it doesnt work well enough for you, I suggest you just turn it off.

It is reliable, for me, 9 out of 10 times, and even the 1 out of 10 is fixable w/ a ff/rw.

I was just asking about the ability to FF/RW into the skip as something the worked just fine to some kind of override.

The wishlist idea would be handy overall. Sometimes I leave the room near the end or get distracted, and the only way to get back to the end is FF through whole program. Just skipping to last 1min would be a good way to backup from end. If it's in the middle, then that's just the breaks.

sub,
no problem I will write an app that runs after comskip and recalculates the numbers with the padding.

wouldn't it just make as much sense to add the padding into comskip settings? I know you can already add frames to pad w/. Seems like an easy solution.

But, I also woulnd't mind the plugin, jorm. That way it would persist over comskip versions.

Btw, sub, I think the underlying msg is everyone likes it as it is. I don't think there's any part ppl can't work around or just turn off (pressing play manually wasn't giving me carpal tunnel or taking away from time w/ the family Wink)

capone,

There might be some padding the problem is does SA have it? And we can use it to add some additional logic. I will create a new thread for this tool.

my problems are rare, and I use comskip, anyway (I am cheap, and CS still is 90% reliable for me, which is more than enough 99% of the time).

Someone else originally brought up the point. I was just replying to suggest someone could manually FF/RW into the skip to override, and it didn't req sub doing anything.

All that said, I still liked your idea of plugin just to pad a little. Sometimes it snips just a sec or two too much, so the helper seems like a fair touch.

Very nice...I'll try it out later.

We should move to a new thread, and maybe to take there, what is the last setting for? I don't quite get it how it's phrased.

I'll watch for a new thread if you want to move this there.
